The Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services in the State of Goa has been growing in operational fitness as well as quality of manpower.  The tradition of observing the National Fire Service Day on 14^th April every year as Martyr’s Day and paying tribute to the Martyr’s and generating awareness in the community in Fire Prevention and Fire Safety from 14^th to 20^th April is a commendable effort.

On the auspicious occasion, I join the Officers and Fire Service personnel in paying homage to the Martyr’s who laid down their lives in saving others’ life.
