The Fire Services in the Country commemorate 14^th April as National Fire Service Day which is also observed as Martyr’s Day and pay homage to those Firemen who lost their lives while performing their duties.

I congratulate the Department in taking initiative in holding Poster Competition in all the Talukas of Goa for the Students and Half Marathon Race for the general public for spreading the message of Fire Safety and encouraging the citizens to become safety conscious with the theme “LET’S WORK TOGETHER FOR FIRE SAFE INDIA”.

On this auspicious occasion I join the Officers and Fire Services personnel in paying homage to the Martyr’s.
