Every year 14^th April is observed as National Fire Service Day across the Country.  This day is also observed as Martyr’s Day.  I join the officers of the Goa Fire and Emergency Services to pay homage to the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the course of their duty.

I am also pleased to know that the National Fire Service Day will be followed by the Fire Prevention Week which will generate awareness amongst the people about the Fire Precautionary measures.  The theme for the year is“LET’S WORK TOGETHER FOR FIRE SAFE INDIA”.

I wish all the officers and Fire Service personnel of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, high success in this important endeavour.
