FIRE PREVENTION ARRANGEMENTS FOR DECENNIAL EXPOSITION OF ST FRANCIS XAVIER AT OLD GOA - GOA 2014

      The Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services have made elaborate Fire Prevention arrangements during the Decennial Exposition of St Francis Xavier at Old Goa from 21st November 2014 to 05th January 2015.

      The main objective of this arrangement is to raise the level of Prevention and Preparedness so as to minimize loss of life and property from Fire and Non-Fire Emergencies and to prevent /suppress unwanted fires by rendering prompt and efficient services.

    The Fire Prevention and Fire Protection arrangements are made at various venues which are detailed in the Duty Brochure. There are 32 Fire Points where Fire Prevention arrangements are made covering the entire area at the Decennial Exposition of St Francis Xavier at Old Goa-Goa from 21st November to 05th January 2015. A total of 151 Fire Personnel have been deployed for duties at various Fire Points.

      As a part of Fire Cover the fire fighting appliances stationed at the Venue are namely; Aerial Ladder Platform of 32 mtrs height (01 No.), Water Tenders (01 No), Industrial Foam Tender (01 No), Multipurpose Foam Tender (01 No), Quick Response Vehicles (02 Nos) and Motorcycle Response Unit (02 Nos) are stationed at the venue.

        Shri Rajendra Haldankar, Asst Divisional Officer, Central Fire Station Ponda is the Nodal Officer for the Decennial Exposition of St Francis Xavier at Old Goa-Goa who will work under the overall control of Shri Ashok Menon, Director, Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services, Goa.
