As a part of the Government of India initiative, a National level Painting Competition was organized by the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services, Goa in all the Schools in the State of Goa was conducted on 14th November’2011 on the theme “Fire Precaution & Prevention”.

Press Note of National Level Painting Competition was published in local dailies in the State of Goa. Altogether 563 Children participated in the Painting Competition, which were judged by the panel of expert headed by the Principal of Goa College of Art, two Senior faculty members and one member of the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services.

Kum. Diksha Satyawar Javeer, Standard VIIIth, Sharada English High School, Marcel Goa, Kum. Tanmay Vasant Vadyekar, Standard VIIth, Dayanand High School, Chorao Goa and Kum. Rohang Mishal, Standard VIIIth, G.S. Amonkar Vidyamandir, Mapusa Goa was adjudged First, Second and Third respectively and their painting were forwarded to the Directorate General Civil Defence (Fire), Government of India, New Delhi for judging the entries at National level.
